Tremron Roofing: The San Francisco Owner’s Guide
If your Tremron roofing system has a failed part, we can source the replacement and install it, usually within the same week. Installed replacement costs in San Francisco run $470 to $2,125 depending on the component and roof access. Most owners discover the problem the hard way: a ceiling stain after a winter storm, granules collecting in the gutter, or a section of flashing that peeled loose during a wind event off the Pacific. You need the part matched correctly and installed by someone who knows how Tremron components fit together, not just a generic patch.
Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron roofing components are not universal. The part you need depends on which product line your roof was built with. Tremron’s interlocking pavers often get used as rooftop deck paving over a waterproof membrane, and that membrane is where compatibility gets tricky. Some San Francisco flat roofs use Tremron pavers as a walking surface over a PVC or TPO membrane. The paver itself is not the failure point, but the pedestal system or drainage mat underneath often is.
Before you buy any part, check the underside of a paver or the edge of the membrane for a stamped product code. Tremron stamps a batch code into most paver units. The code tells you the manufacturing plant and the year. If the roof is older than 20 years, that code may not be legible, and we’ll need to measure the paver thickness with a caliper to match a compatible replacement. Aftermarket paver equivalents from Belgard and Unilock work in most applications, but the thickness tolerance matters more than the brand: a 60mm paver does not swap cleanly for an 80mm paver without changing the pedestal height.
Bradford Remodeling Co San Francisco is an independent service provider. We are not affiliated with Tremron, but we work with Tremron products and source genuine Tremron parts or documented equivalents that match the original specification.

Signs Your Tremron Roofing Is Failing
- Pavers rocking or shifting underfoot. This usually means the pedestal supports have cracked or the drainage mat has compressed. A rocking paver is not just annoying, it points to uneven load distribution that will crack the membrane below if left alone.
- Water staining on the ceiling below the roof deck. By the time water shows up indoors, the membrane has already been compromised. You are not looking at a paver problem anymore; you are looking at a waterproofing failure that needs a roof-level repair, not a paint touch-up.
- Granules washing into gutters or downspouts. If the roof surface is a Tremron-coated or textured system, granule loss means the protective top layer is wearing thin. UV exposure and salt air in San Francisco accelerates this, especially on roofs facing west toward the ocean.
- Pedestal tabs broken or missing. The plastic pedestals that support rooftop pavers have small tabs that lock pavers in place. When tabs snap, pavers drift. This is a parts replacement we handle regularly: the pedestal is cheap, but getting the paver field re-leveled takes skill.
- Membrane exposed at seams or edges. If the paver field has shifted enough to expose membrane flashing, that membrane is now vulnerable to UV damage and standing water. In San Francisco’s wet winters, an exposed seam becomes a leak within one season.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

In San Francisco, Tremron-compatible roof repairs run $470 to $2,125 installed. The lower end covers single-part swaps like a few broken pedestals or a short section of replacement flashing. The upper end covers membrane patching, paver re-leveling, and replacement of a larger pedestal grid.
What drives the range: roof access (interior stairs versus ladder or scaffold), paver thickness and weight, and membrane type. A simple pedestal swap on a rooftop deck with easy access lands near $470. A membrane patch under a paver field with difficult access pushes toward $2,125.
Every price we give is written down before work starts. You get the part cost, the labor, and the disposal fee itemized on one sheet. No number moves at the door. Every completed repair carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if the fix fails within a year, we come back and correct it at no charge.
DIY or Call Us?
There are two levels here. First, the safe stuff: you can photograph the damage, check for visible cracks in the pavers, and note where water is pooling. That information helps us quote accurately. You can also clear loose debris off the roof surface so water drains.
What you should not do is lift a paver to inspect the membrane underneath. Rooftop pavers are load-bearing in a system. Removing one without knowing the pedestal layout can cause the surrounding field to shift, and a shifted field can damage the membrane. The pedestal tabs break easily when forced. If the membrane is compromised, walking on it causes more damage than you started with. The membrane itself is under tension at the seams, and a torn membrane is a roof leak.

FAQs

Tremron pavers themselves last 40 to 50 years in San Francisco’s climate, but the pedestals and membrane underneath typically last 15 to 20 years before needing replacement. Salt air and UV exposure shorten that on west-facing roofs. Call (831) 610-5598 for an inspection if your roof is past 15 years old.
Some can. Cracked pedestals and broken paver tabs are replacement items, not repairs. Membrane seams can sometimes be re-sealed rather than replaced, depending on the extent of the damage. We’ll tell you straight which one applies after a site look. Call (831) 610-5598 to schedule a free estimate.
A single pedestal or tab swap takes about two hours. A larger section of membrane patching under a paver field takes a full day. If we need to remove and re-set a large paver field, plan on two days. We schedule around San Francisco weather so the membrane is not exposed to rain mid-repair.
We stock common pedestals, tabs, and membrane patch materials on the truck. Genuine Tremron pavers are ordered per project to match the existing batch color. We also stock compatible parts for KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone when the roof project crosses into exterior kitchen or deck areas. Call (831) 610-5598 with your part number and we’ll confirm availability the same day.
